Partners
Second Chance Cars relies on a unique coalition we call our “Community of Goodness”. The diverse “CoG” coalition allows us to operate effectively and efficiently and consists of generous individual and corporate car donors, social service organizations that refer candidates to us for cars, technical schools that fix our cars affordably and professionally, a bank that provides our car recipients with 0% interest car loans and a range of awesome pro bono and other volunteers. Together, this coalition of individual, educational, and corporate partners allows us to “pay it forward” and provide excellent and affordable cars to working people so they can obtain living wage jobs.
NONPROFIT REFERRING PARTNERS
Our referring partners are carefully selected and trained to refer to us “car-ready” applicants. A car must be critical to either getting, keeping, or growing a job. Considerations for getting a car include economic impact, the cost in time or money getting to work by public transportation and ride shares, and safety. Our success depends on the quality of referrals we get from our referring partners.
